The live program of PARS MOMENTUM takes the audience on a dazzling sonic journey—full of emotion, suspense, and unexpected twists.

Anyone who associates cello and guitar with classical chamber music is in for a surprise. Through experimental playing techniques, loops, effect pedals, and electronic sounds, Christof Unterberger and Christian Heidenbauer create a mesmerizing sound cosmos. Their music oscillates between fragile beauty, playful lightness, and cinematic sound storms—a cinema for the ears.

With a contrasting stylistic mix of original compositions and unique interpretations, the duo creates an intimate and deeply personal atmosphere. Their repertoire includes works by Samuel Barber, Astor Piazzolla, Nils Frahm, and Pat Metheny, blending classical, neoclassical, downtempo electronica, and gypsy swing into an extraordinary concert experience.

A special highlight is the improvised piece "Momentum Resonance", created together with the audience. One of the instruments on stage becomes playable by all visitors at once—a moment of tension, interaction, and sonic magic. How does it work? And how does it sound? You have to experience it—it's a fascinating sound experiment.

PARS MOMENTUM means "in the moment of the present"—and it is precisely in this fleeting instant that the magic of this small yet sonically powerful two-man orchestra unfolds.
